Starting as merely an IEEE student branch project by Dr. Josip Balen from Osijek in Croatia, efforts, IEEEmadC (Mobile Applications Development Contest), a 6-8 months competition initially focused to inspire student members in Europe, Middle East, and Africa to develop mobile applications escalated into a globally recognized competition very soon. Having around 150 participants in 2014 and more than 250 in 2015 and 2016, it provides IEEE student members a new interesting activity and a chance to develop something which achieves IEEE mission and make its member lives and times more valuable.

IEEE’s core purpose is to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.
